In September 1995, in order to facilitate participation in market competition, it was renamed Jiaozuo Electronic Equipment Factory.
In May 1996, in order to alleviate the worries and difficulties of Jiaozuo Coal Group, Jiaozuo Electronic Equipment Factory merged with Jiaozuo Mining Bureau Energy saving Electrical Appliance Factory and Jiaozuo Xinguang Electrical Appliance Factory, which were on the verge of bankruptcy, to establish Jiaozuo Huafei Electronic and Electrical Appliance Industry Co., Ltd., which was subordinate to Jiaozuo Mining Bureau.
In February 2007, with the approval of the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, Jiaozuo Huafei Electronic and Electrical Industry Co., Ltd. was restructured into Jiaozuo Huafei Electronic and Electrical Co., Ltd.
In 2005, with the approval of Coking Coal Group and the Provincial State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the company completed its restructuring and reorganization, clarified its property rights relationship, and became a legal entity that operates independently and is responsible for its own profits and losses.
In March 1998, according to the arrangement of Jiaozuo Mining Bureau, Huafei Company was restructured as an internal joint-stock cooperative reform pilot unit and established as an internal joint-stock enterprise.
Huafei Company was founded in October 1987 as the Electronic Equipment Factory of Jiaozuo Mining Bureau, under the jurisdiction of Jiaozuo Mining Bureau Wangfeng Mining Comprehensive Factory. It was established by several employees from scratch, relying on a loan of 300000 yuan and self-developed patented products, as a self operated, self financing, and self-development collective ownership unit.
